As usual, I take the occasion of reaching a decade to write a note here.
I'm very pleased to see this group is slowly but firmly growing. I'm also glad that some users have really started helping me with submissions to the group, and I thank them for that !
One of you told me the group would steadily grow into several hundreds of members like other groups centered on corsets or heels, I don't know about that but for now we're slowly becoming a community of our own.
I would like to know if something in particular got you into opera gloves in the first place. I'm in a sharing mood so I'll start : as you can see from my avatar, it all started with the Disney Cinderella transformation scene, which I fetishized very early in my youth and from which I got most of my present fetishes. I have a particular thing for satin gloves, as it's what they're supposed to be in the movie, but I'll never say no to gorgeous latex opera gloves !
Share if you feel like it !
Oh and one last thing : Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie ?
I'm an Applejack fan myself.

Cinderella and her (lack of) opera gloves
Well, I just got back from the theater where I finally watched the live action Cinderella. As you can infer from my avatar, Cinderella means a great deal to me, and I was expecting this movie all the way back since it had been announced. And of course I had great expectations.
And I can say they have nearly all been met ! It’s a wonderful movie, not the movie of the century, but a real feel-good movie, which you get out of with a broad smile on your face. It reminds me of « Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain » in that respect. It justs goes well, it’s a fairy tale, sure it’s naive, it hammers in the sa
Welcome artists and models!
Ever since Nansen46 (https://www.deviantart.com/nansen46) started this group two years ago, it's mostly been either him or me scouring DA looking for suitable images. But in the past week or so we've had quite a few new members who are now submitting from their own portfolio.
I want to thank BlackGardenPoland (https://www.deviantart.com/blackgardenpoland) and ShadowDreamers (https://www.deviantart.com/shadowdreamers) especially for taking the time to learn our fussy category system for submissions, but also thank you to everyone who has submitted an image to this group.
I know it can be a bit confusing, but here's the rules as I learned them from Nansen46 (https://www.deviantart.com/nansen46):First of all, the glove must cover the forearm to qualify for this group. We prefer gloves that cover the e
Still growing...
Hey y'all. I just realized it's been a year since I last posted something here. I've not been around much managing the group this whole year, as I moved and changed job IRL in February. I now live in Paris 8-), which is amazing, but also a lot more time consuming. GospodinP did an amazing job at getting things running while I was AWOL. Kudos bro ! ;)
In a year, we gained nearly a hundred members, and more than 180 watchers ! We are now quite a bunch of fetishists, and I think it's awesome. I'll try to be a bit more active next, and provide you with great pieces of work, but keep your own getting in as well !
Well, see you in a year ;) or if
75 150
I always find that there are approximately twice more new watchers than members when I administrate the group, and today it occurred to me that this resulted in that beautiful figure : just exactly 75 members and 150 watchers. That is, beautiful for a science geek a bit maniac like myself...
So keep coming everyone, one day we'll rule the world, probably, but for now we're a nice growing community around here, and we keep finding amazing work to add to the group. Don't hesitate to help us with that effort by the way, it's always very appreciated, just make sure you get the submitting rules straight before you do.

I think, for me, being raised by my grandparents was what did it..
..that sounds creepier than it really is. They were children during the Great Depression, so they had a different set of associations, and came from a different culture from what "modern parents" had. So I grew up in a house that listened to old music, and unless it was the news on tv, it was old movies. I grew up watching women who wore gloves when they went to the market- and put on the full length gloves when they went out on the town, and a lot of it stuck. I can't really stand music unless it's got a definite melody, and I'm intensely drawn to the aesthetics of the 20's and 30's- from my art, all the way down to my personal hair style/make-up choices. I don't think I ever really stood a chance.
That's not saying that I don't LOVE the modern twists- one of my most favorite things on the planet is a well posed model in latex/rubber opera gloves and stockings, but I definitely DEFINITELY know that it came from being so immersed in the media/values of days gone by that sparked it.
